Post - Telecommunication Joint - Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI) was established on August 1, 1998 with founding shareholders: Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (later assigned to Vietnam Post Corporation to manage); Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation and large domestic economic groups.

By December 2021, Vietnam Post Corporation has completed the auction to divest all of its shares, accounting for 22.67% of the charter capital at PTI. Currently, PTI has two largest groups of shareholders, which are VNDIRECT Securities Corporation and authorized shareholders (42.33%) and DB Insurance Company - Korea (37.32%).


PTI offers customers with a wide range of practical and superior products and services.

PTI provides both individual and institutional customers with over 100 insurance products grouped in four main product categories: Motor Vehicle Insurance, Personal Insurance, Property & Engineering Insurance and Marine Insurance.


PTI currently has 55 member companies and a customer service network consisting of 10,800 post offices across the country.

Empowered by Vietnam Post Corporation’s nationwide post office system, PTI is proud to be a non-life insurer with the largest sales and customer service network in the local market.


PTI has over 3000 employees working at the head office and 55 member companies.

With as much as 92.3% of its personnel holding college and university degrees or higher, PTI is led by a dynamic and highly qualified team.


PTI is the only non-life insurer to launch the “Green Dreams” project annually.

PTI also has experience in settling large claims, such as Ha Nam Textile Company (US$6 million, Chutex Textile (US$20.5 million) and Theodore Alexander Co., Ltd. (US$17.5 million).

PTI maintains strong relationships with the world’s leading reinsurers, including Swiss Re, Munich Re, Korean Re and Sompo Japan Nipponkoa and reinsurance brokers such as Benoit, Marsh and Willis. Reinsurers named in PTI’s reinsurance contracts are rated A (strong financial strength) or higher by Standard & Poor’s or A (excellent ability to meet financial obligations) or higher by A.M. Best.
Backed by its practical experience in adjusting claims for direct insurance classes, PTI also surveys and analyzes losses, acts as a survey agent and claims against third parties in the name of its clients.
In addition to the core insurance business, PTI has also stepped up its investment activities, focusing on two main areas: Financial Investment and Real Estate Investment. PTI is one of the insurers with high profitability ratios in the market.
